The chocolate mousse : Traditional or innovative ?

Smooth and perfumed, the chocolate mousse is a famous dessert. Nobody resisted it !

Moreover, the dark chocolate fights against stress and cholesterol. All good things, must to consumed with moderation … 🙂

The innovative chocolate mousse

Serve 8

Time : 30 minutes

Material :

  • 8 ramekins
  • 2 plastic containers
  • Mixer

Ingredients :

  • 300g dark chocolate
  • 6 eggs
  • 100g of sugar
  • 8 tablespoons of cream cheese (it’s facultative)
  • 3 edible gelatin sheets (it’s facultative)

The preparation of innovative chocolate mousse :

  1. Firstly, in a plastic container, break 6 eggs and separate the egg yolks in another container.
  2. Secondly, in the container with egg yolk, add sugar and mix until the preparation become white.
  3. You can add eight tablespoons of cream cheese in your preparation to get a traditional chocolate mousse.
  4. In a little bowl with tepid water, let soften the gelatin sheets.
  5. Melt the dark chocolate during 2 minutes in a microwave or heat chocolate in a bain-marie.
  6. In another plastic container, add a pinch of salt and beat the egg whites until they are firm.
  7. In the first container, pour softly the egg whites. And mix very slowly with a wooden spoon.
  8. You can add edible gelatin sheets. It’s facultative.
  9. Finally, you can pour the preparation in some ramekins to get a beautiful presentation. You can let the preparation in plastic container if you don’t want an individual presentation. Let in a refrigerator during 2 hours.
  10. Enjoy !

  • Mixer

  • 200g of dark chocolate
  • 5 eggs
  • 40g of sugar
  • A pinch of salt for egg whites

 

The preparation of traditional chocolate mousse :

  1. Firstly, in a plastic container, break 6 eggs and separate the egg yolks in another container.
  2. Secondly, crush dark chocolate in sauce pan and heat it in a bain-marie.
  3. Out of fire, add the egg yolks into your melted chocolate.
  4. Then, pour and mix the sugar in your preparation.
  5. In another plastic container, add a pinch of salt and beat the egg whites until they are firm.
  6. Incorporate slowly egg whites in your chocolate preparation with a wooden spoon.
  7. Finally, you can pour the preparation in some ramekins to get a beautiful presentation. You can let the preparation in plastic container if you don’t want an individual presentation. Let in a refrigerator during 2 hours.
